We were very excited in the morning because it was the day we went home. Saying goodbye to Annika, we headed to Hungary across the Austria-Hungary border. Learning from the yesterday's mistake, we chose the national road to follow today. But another problem came, as always. Austria is famous for its wind-farms at the areas with high wind speed all the year around. The nearby region of the Austria-Hungary border is one of those and I was totally beaten down by the powerful wind. The previous day, the heavy rain slowed down our speed, today the wind helped me to "fly high". It was a terrifying moment when I was pedalling hard against the sidewind, and suddenly I found myself on the other side of the road. Luckily, there was no car coming at that time.
Escaping successfully from the terrible wind, we stopped for lunch at a lovely spot in the last Austrian village before we enter Hungary.

Crossing the border, seeing the first Hungarian words brought me a mix of emotions. The feeling of being home after a long trip out there is a sweet and enjoyable one which fondles our tired legs and our exhausted body. That night, staying safe inside our sweet home, enjoying the dream dinner that had been on our mind for a week, we raised our glasses of champagne, looked into the eyes of each other and said out loud: "Let's hit the road!".
After 6 days, 433 km and too many stories that we had collected along the way, we could never imagine what will come in the next 1 year on our Grand trip. There is only one answer - the departure!
- The end -
